In 1993, David Burley and Stephanie Shimp opened the Highland Grill, located in the Highland neighborhood of St. Paul. After many years of hard work, the company's expansion continued with the Groveland Tap, which is located just down the road from Highland Grill in the Mac-Groveland neighborhood. These restaurants were the start of the Blue Plate Restaurant Company, a collection of neighborhood restaurants offering craveable food and a hospitality-focused dining experience.
Our collection of neighborhood restaurants has grown strong since 1993 to include seven restaurants, a state fair concept and a food truck. We’re always looking for great people to work with us!
